Describe Service CO-OPS/IOOS-DIF Sensor Observation Service (HTTP/POST)

To view the sensor used for a particular station, you can request data via GetObservation and obtain the sensor ID URN from <ioos:SensorId>.

Instructions for DescribeSensor for a Particular Station/Observed Property:

Obtain the Sensor ID URN by requesting data via GetCapabilities for a particular station and observed property.

Grab the entire Sensor ID URN from <ioos:SensorId>. For example, this may be <ioos:SensorId>urn:x-noaa:def:sensor:NOAA.NOS.CO-OPS::8454000:A1</ioos:SensorId>

Enter the value under <procedure> to send a DescribeSensor request for the given station.
